The article discusses the decentralized computing infrastructure and the advantages of DeFaaS (Decentralized Function as a Service). It highlights the importance of decentralized scheduling, load balancing, and efficient event distribution in cloud networks. The performance evaluation of multi-cloud event dissemination indicates that geographical locations primarily influence latency. The introduction of SmartPubSub, leveraging a decentralized protocol for event message distribution, aims to improve the speed of data delivery. The findings suggest a need for optimized server placements to enhance performance in multi-cloud environments.
Our work is focused on integrating with SmartPubSub, which uses ScoutSubs for decentralized event message distribution. This enhances speed and efficiency in information dissemination.
The evaluation revealed that latency during inter-cloud communication is heavily influenced by geographical location rather than differences in cloud providers, showcasing the importance of server placement.
