Minor roster moves involved seven NFL teams: Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, New England Patriots, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Players Winfrey, Johnson and Payton have each started 21-day activation periods, which will consume one of each team’s eight injured reserve (IR) activations when they are activated. Trice and Haynes were assigned the designated-for-return label during August roster cuts, so their activations were previously recorded. As a result, Trice and Haynes returning will not count against current IR activation limits, while the other three will reduce available activations by one each.
