The Dallas Cowboys are actively searching for their next head coach, with recent developments indicating that Jerry Jones has reached out to former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. While no formal interview has been scheduled, sources suggest the interest is genuine. Carroll's extensive experience includes a Super Bowl victory and a history of avoiding losing seasons. His past collaboration with Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys' offensive coordinator, may provide a foundation for a consistent offensive strategy. Carroll's willingness to explore coaching opportunities at 73 adds intrigue to the coaching search.
As the Dallas Cowboys coaching search hits a new day on Thursday, Jan. 23, more rumors have begun to fly out of The Star about where Jerry Jones could be headed in search of the franchise's 10th head coach.
Despite being 73, Carroll has let it be known that he is still open to coaching in the NFL and will engage with any opportunities put in front of him.
With 18 seasons of NFL head coaching experience, a Super Bowl in 2013 with Seattle and a college football national championship in 2004 with USC, the winning pedigree could entice the front office to bring him in.
His experience with Schottenheimer could bode well if the Cowboys look toward keeping consistency on the offensive side of the ball.
