AstraZeneca withdraws Covid-19 Vaccine
Briefly

The marketing authorization for the vaccine, Vaxzevria, in the European Union was withdrawn at the company's request this week as the vaccine is no longer manufactured or supplied, Astra said in a statement.
Astra's vaccine, which was initially offered on a not-for-profit basis, faced challenges due to concerns about efficacy, safety, and rare cases of blood clots.
Regulators determined the risk-benefit of the vaccine was positive; however, Astra's vaccine faced a decline in demand as newer mRNA-based vaccines gained popularity.
