Frequent Coffee launched from Ocean Beach with a mission to prioritize high-quality decaf alongside caffeinated offerings. The initial lineup includes five packaged decaf coffees—three signature blends and two single-origin coffees—plus a half-caff and three fully caffeinated blends. Co-founder and head roaster Mark Gano closed his construction business to focus full-time on coffee and partners with longtime friend and marketer Jakob Bechgaard. Frequent Coffee roasts at the California Roasting Collective and collaborates with local coffee professionals while continuing decaf experiments between production roasts. Beans are packaged in bold, colorful bags and special-edition shiny labels highlight processing and exceptional cup attributes.
