Ryan Meara has announced his retirement from professional soccer after 12 seasons with the New York Red Bulls. The 34-year-old goalkeeper, longest-tenured in franchise history, expressed his pride in having spent his career with the club, which he considers a second home. Meara appeared in 44 MLS matches, recording 10 clean sheets, and contributed significantly to the team's accomplishments, including the 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup run. The club's head of sport praised his exemplary character both on and off the field and expressed gratitude for his long service.
