The Minnesota Vikings announced the release of Garrett Bradbury, their longtime center drafted 18th overall in 2019. Following an attempt to trade him, the Vikings opted for a post-June 1 transaction to save $5.25 million against their salary cap. Despite starting all 88 games over six seasons, the 29-year-old Bradbury struggled against larger defensive linemen. This offseason, the Vikings are focusing on rebuilding their offensive line, signing Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly and guard Will Fries, while also trading away Ed Ingram and securing tackle Justin Skule.
The Vikings have released center Garrett Bradbury, their first-round pick from 2019, in a move to remake the interior of their offensive line.
Bradbury, a 29-year-old center, started all 88 games for the Vikings but has been overpowered at times due to his smaller size.
