"Bucs are signing veteran long-snapper Scott Daly, who was a tryout player at rookie minicamp this weekend. Will challenge Evan Deckers for their snapping job.- Greg Auman (@gregauman) May 11, 2026"
"Scott Daly has five seasons of NFL experience under his belt. His first three seasons were with the Detroit Lions, but his last two years were spent with the Bears. The 32-year-old long snapper played in all 34 games of Chicago's regular-season games (and both of its playoff games) the last two seasons."

Scott Daly has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after previously playing for the Chicago Bears. The move follows the Bears not re-signing him early in the offseason, despite his earlier return in 2025. Daly is a veteran long snapper with five seasons of NFL experience, including three seasons with the Detroit Lions and two seasons with Chicago. He played in all 34 regular-season games and both playoff games for the Bears over the last two seasons. His performance was also recognized, including being Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded long snapper in 2024. With Daly gone, the Bears look toward Luke Elkin and Beau Gardner for the next long-snapping role.
