We wanted to see how it progressed and keep an open mind about it. All of us were on board to flex and move wherever we needed.
Eberflus named Williams the team's starting quarterback before his first practice of rookie minicamp in May.
He's a great learner. Very smart. He works really hard but he is also able to work with others. He's competitive.
Williams played the entire first half of Chicago's 27-3 win over Cincinnati where he recorded his first touchdown on a 7-yard scramble.
