Joe Flamm’s new venture, il Carciofo, will celebrate Roman culture with authentic dishes and a unique dining experience inspired by the piazzas in Rome.
"I've been in love with Rome since my first visit there... It just reminds you of being in a big city like Chicago where you have such a breadth of food," says Flamm.
Expected to open in December, il Carciofo will feature a vibrant dining space with retractable windows that promote engagement with the city, mimicking the energy of Roman piazzas.
The menu will highlight Roman-style pizza and hand-rolled pasta, with a focus on using high-quality Italian ingredients as well as seasonal local produce.
