Feds Say Possibly Contaminated Meat Sold at Walmart, Costco, Trader Joe's
Briefly

The Oklahoma-based company BrucePac recently recalled nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products after they tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, a dangerous bacterium. Consumers should be aware that these products may bear different establishment numbers due to further processing.
Federal health officials emphasized the importance of consumer awareness, noting that some recalled products might have different establishment numbers on their labels. This change comes as a result of further distribution and processing by other establishments.
Products affected by the recall include those sold at major grocery chains in the Bay Area, such as Walmart, Aldi, Costco, and Trader Joe's, and frozen meals prepared by Boston Market, Jenny Craig, and Atkins.
In total, more than 75 products have been confirmed for recall, encompassing an array of items including pastas, frozen meals, wraps, salads, and extensive ready-to-eat meat and poultry products produced over a span of several months.
