Feds: Prisoner sexually assaulted at Chicago's Loop jail despite repeated pleas from victim to be removed from cell

A prisoner at Chicago's beleaguered high-rise federal jail in the Loop was raped by a cellmate in September despite his repeated pleas to guards that he was in danger and needed to be moved immediately, according to recently unsealed federal charges.Darious Robinson, 34, was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault in the Sept. 22 attack at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on West Van Buren Street and is being held without bond, court records show.
