West Ham have agreed a deal to sign defender Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, with a season-long loan and an option to buy for about 27m.
Italian giants Juventus could potentially hijack the deal for Todibo, who has also drawn interest from Manchester United but faced a UEFA block due to shared ownership conflicts.
Chelsea and Tottenham, previously interested in Todibo, are no longer expected to compete for his signature after the agreement between West Ham and Nice.
