United were in need of depth at left-back following injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, while Reguilon was surplus to requirements at Spurs.
Reguilon featured heavily for Tottenham in pre-season under new head coach Ange Postecoglou, but it was quickly made apparent that Destiny Udogie would be the starting left-back heading into the 2023/24 campaign.
