Mauricio Pochettino is in serious danger of being sacked by Chelsea after the crushing 4-2 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Chelsea co-chairman Behdad Eghbali would be prepared to dismiss Pochettino immediately if a deal could be struck to hire Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.
