According to the Guardian, Chelsea are not currently planning to offer Silva a new contract, so it seems his time with the west Londoners is coming to an end in a few months' time.
The Guardian note that there is a feeling inside Chelsea that Pochettino has to sacrifice too much defensively by using the ageing centre-back, so it may be that the Argentine will look to do something different.
