Two who died in East Bay motor vehicle crashes identified

Authorities identified 18-year-old James Unfreed, who died following a motorcycle collision with a car at Contra Costa Boulevard and Dexter Drive, and 41-year-old Eduardo Anaya, who perished in a three-car crash on Interstate 680.
Unfreed was riding northbound when a vehicle turned left in front of him. Despite efforts by medics, he succumbed to his injuries at a local trauma unit.
The CHP described the crash involving Anaya as a three-car collision and reported no serious injuries among the other drivers involved, seeking witnesses for clarity on the accident.
