This Humanoid Robot is Trying to Give Every Car Tesla-Like Self-Driving
Briefly

Musashi, a humanoid robot acting as a robot chauffeur in an autonomous driving project in Japan, operates a car without Tesla's FSD. It recognizes humans, traffic lights, other cars, and reacts to sudden obstacles like people or honking cars.
Musashi demonstrates a more physical approach to driving, with features resembling human control - from rotating keys, using handbrakes, to responding to real-world scenarios like foot-slips, learning and improving over time with smoother handling.
Researchers conducted tests with Musashi on a small EV in a controlled setting, presenting it as a prototype. They aim to further develop its hardware and capabilities beyond the current demonstration.
Musashi, unlike conventional software-based autonomous driving solutions, offers a distinct physical approach to driving tasks, presenting a unique alternative pathway to solving the challenges Tesla is addressing with FSD.
