Lego recently unveiled life-size drivable Formula 1 cars made from 400,000 bricks at the Miami Grand Prix, marking the launch of a multiyear partnership. Built over 22,000 hours, these unique creations can reach speeds of 12 mph and feature designs mimicking their real counterparts from various F1 teams. While they are not built for competitive racing, they highlight Lego's commitment to creativity and innovation in engineering as part of its Speed Champions product line, celebrating both the artistry and fun surrounding the sport.
To mark the start of a multiyear partnership, the Danish toy maker created 10 drivable, full-scale Formula 1 cars that debuted at the Miami Grand Prix.
The 'big build' cars took Lego builders a collective 22,000 hours over eight months to assemble the four million pieces.
They're ready for the race track. The nearly 1:1 scale models reach about 12 mph using automotive parts contained within the structure and authentic Pirelli tires.
