Rimac Technology will manufacture battery packs for the next-generation BMW i7 in Croatia, which will be shipped to BMW's plant in Germany. The i7 will feature a software-defined platform and advanced battery technology, promising significant improvements in range and charging performance. The new i7 will utilize Rimac's Gen5 module-based technology and Gen6 cylindrical lithium-ion cells, aiming for at least 400 miles of range. The cells will be produced in Zagreb before final assembly at BMW's Dingolfing plant, the sole production site for the Neue Klasse i7.
