Honda's announcement marks the return of the Prelude, a hybrid vehicle re-entering an automotive landscape vastly altered since its last production in 2001.
The new Prelude, touted as the first to use Honda S+ Shift, signifies a blend of Honda's performance heritage with modern hybrid technology.
Jessika Laudermilk stated, 'The first three products in the Honda lineup in the 1970s were Civic, Accord and Prelude, and soon all three will be back together again as hybrids.'
Following the concept version launch in 2023, the next-gen Prelude is anticipated to arrive in the American market late next year.
