In our range test, the reengineered Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD exceeded its EPA rating by traveling 370 miles at a constant 70 mph. This showcased significant advancements over its predecessor, making the updated model surprisingly more efficient.
The older Model 3, which was close to 300 miles in range, performed impressively considering its accumulated mileage and battery degradation. This comparison highlights the progress Tesla has made with the new Model 3.
Testing conditions were consistent, as we used the same battery and motor setup for both the reengineered and previous-gen Model 3, allowing for a fair evaluation of improvements. The results were far beyond our expectations.
The impressive mileage achieved by the new Model 3 underscores its potential as a significant player in the electric vehicle market, shifting perceptions and elevating its status from underrated to noteworthy.
