Suspect arrested in non-injury San Ramon freeway shooting

A suspect was arrested and a gun recovered in his vehicle in a non-injury shooting Sunday on Interstate 680, the California Highway Patrol said.
The suspect, a 42-year-old Foresthill resident, was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of attempted murder and weapons crimes and was being held in lieu of $920,000 bail, authorities said.
Officers from the CHPs Dublin office began an investigation after receiving a 911 call. The CHP said the victims provided the suspect's vehicle description and the information was broadcast to surrounding police departments.
After further investigation, CHP officers arrested the suspect in connection with the shooting. A firearm was recovered from his vehicle. The CHP investigation is continuing.
