Aiselyn Anaya-Hall and Emmeline Wuest caught a Waymo self-driving car driving the wrong way near Arizona State University, causing panic about a potential head-on collision.
Wuest expressed concern about accountability, questioning how a driverless vehicle, when erring, can cause worry: 'If a person made that mistake... I don't think you should have your license.'
Waymo's spokesperson emphasized community safety, stating the vehicle made a right turn to safely clear the intersection after the light changed, continuously improving their system.
