Polestar has begun production of the Polestar 3 in the US, allowing the company to strengthen its market position while avoiding significant tariffs on imported vehicles.
With operations now established in South Carolina, Polestar has shifted production close to its customer base, making it one of the initial companies to produce locally instead of importing from China.
The US production expansion is not only timely but is also a strategic move for Polestar to broaden its market footprint as it intends to explore seven new markets next year.
CEO Thomas Ingenlath emphasized the company's focus on Europe in the next few years, mentioning plans to collaborate with a local automaker to enhance production capabilities.
