Nissan is launching the Nissan Energy Charge Network for separate charging sessions via the MyNissan app, offering Ariya SUV owners access to 90,000 fast chargers.
Later this year, Nissan will provide NACS adapters for Ariya owners, allowing compatibility with Tesla Superchargers, similar to initiatives from competitors like Kia and Ford.
The new charging network and app updates are exclusive to the Ariya, leaving the aging Leaf to use the outdated CHAdeMO standard for charging.
Nissan aims to enhance its EV offerings by introducing 16 new electrified models by fiscal year 2026, building on its early EV market leadership.
