Starting in February, Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles will gain access to Tesla's Supercharger network, expanding the charging infrastructure for their users significantly.
Mercedes becomes the seventh automaker to access Tesla's Supercharger network, following Ford, General Motors, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, and Nissan—evidence of the growing cooperation among EV manufacturers.
The Lectron adapter, priced at $185, is specifically tested for safety and compatibility, providing Mercedes-Benz EVs with reliable access to Tesla’s extensive charging infrastructure.
With this integration, Tesla’s widespread network, which includes 20,000 charging stalls in the US and Canada, will dramatically enhance charging accessibility for Mercedes-Benz's EV owners.
