"This autonomous vehicle said to heck with GPS" and went in eight circles, leaving Johns feeling dizzy and questioning whether he was the victim of a prank or hacking.
Johns told CNN that he chose Waymo over Lyft or Uber because he works in the technology industry. "It's the future of where things are going, so I'm definitely a part of that," he noted.
Waymo announced that it raised $5.6 billion with continued participation from prominent investors, highlighting customers' love for their technology and the company's reputation for safety.
