Lucid Gravity Deliveries Start In Force In Late April
Briefly

Lucid Motors is set to begin delivering its Gravity SUV to regular customers toward the end of April, following a phase of internal and limited customer production since December. Interim CEO Marc Winterhoff noted that vehicles for showrooms and test drives are nearly complete. The Gravity represents a crucial phase for Lucid, which has struggled to generate profit and maintain robust sales for its initial Air sedan model. This new three-row SUV is seen as pivotal for the startup's future in the electric vehicle market.
"We have nearly completed building vehicles for studios and test drives and expect them to begin arriving at our locations across the U.S. beginning in April," Marc Winterhoff, Lucid's interim CEO, said in a LinkedIn post.
"This is the next phase of the launch," he said, confirming that wider customer deliveries will begin in late April.
Lucid started making the Gravity, its second-ever model, in early December at its factory in Arizona.
Now everyday customers are closer than ever to taking delivery, a big milestone for Lucid's most important project yet.
