Lectron is ramping up production to 12,000 NACS to CCS adapters a week, addressing the surge in demand from non-Tesla EV owners eager for access to Tesla's extensive charging network.
"The strategic increase in capacity is solely in response to the rapidly growing demand for reliable EV charging solutions as more automakers adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and gain access to Tesla Superchargers," Lectron stated.
With the NACS adapters' rollout being less than smooth, many EV owners reported waits of months for their adapters, highlighting the urgent need for manufacturing capacity.
Automakers like Ford and General Motors are now including NACS ports in future EV models, indicating a significant shift within the industry towards standardizing charging solutions.
