Hospital car park's full reopening delayed by more than a week - here's why
Briefly

The full reopening of the multi-storey car park at Queen's Hospital has been extended to September 25 due to weather-related delays in essential improvement works.
Independent health and safety inspectors identified several issues with the car park, including poor lighting, unsafe pedestrian layout, and heavy doors insufficient for parents and those with disabilities.
The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust said that ongoing works include resurfacing the tarmac, adding pedestrian walkways, and enhancing the lighting and door accessibility.
An update from the hospital indicated that the delay in reopening was caused by inclement weather, and that the ground, first, and second floors remain accessible in the interim.
