On 1 September, Keith Wilcox, 41, attempted to rob a woman's handbag in a Morrisons car park but was thwarted by a male witness's brave intervention.
The black Vauxhall Corsa, driven by Lisa Jane Burgess, 44, sped off with the man clinging to the hood, amplifying the crime's severity.
Despite the man's attempt to stop the robbery, he suffered fractured ribs when he fell from the moving vehicle during the escape.
Burgess was sentenced to three years for robbery and dangerous driving, while Wilcox received a 20-month sentence for his involvement in the crime.
