"Weather, hills, climate temperature, cargo, passenger, aerodynamics, and speed traffic have dramatic impacts on EV range," Nuskey said in the report.
"Just like an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle, taking a proactive approach to prepare your vehicle for harsh weather makes all the difference," Nuskey stated.
"An EV battery has an ideal operating temperature of around 68 to 100 degrees (20-40 degrees Celsius)," Nuskey said, explaining the significance of battery care.
"When temperatures dip to 20 degrees Fahrenheit, the average driving range of an EV decreases by 41 percent," highlighting the impact of cold weather.
