Does your older car have a dangerous Takata air bag under recall?
Briefly

About 6.2 million U.S. vehicles still have Takata airbag inflators that are potentially dangerous. Despite extensive recalls and repair efforts, 9% of these vehicles have not been fixed and continue to pose risks on the roads.
Nissan recently warned drivers of 84,000 older vehicles with Takata airbag inflators not to drive them due to the risk of explosion, which could result in fatal injuries from flying metal fragments.
Recalled Takata inflators affected vehicles from 34 automotive brands, leading to the largest automotive recall in U.S. history involving 67 million front driver and passenger inflators.
To check if your vehicle is affected, use the NHTSA website to enter your license plate number or VIN. This tool also helps in signing up for future recall alerts to stay informed.
