Lucid Motors implemented a 12% reduction in its United States workforce to improve operational efficiency and advance gross margin targets. The hourly manufacturing workforce in Casa Grande, Arizona, will not face cuts. The company previously reduced staff by about 1,300 in 2023 and 400 in 2024 and ended 2024 with roughly 6,800 employees. Lucid maintains headquarters in Newark, California, offices in Michigan and Saudi Arabia, and multiple service and retail sites. Lucid intends to continue selling the Gravity SUV and Air sedan and to pursue robotaxi technology and new midsize vehicles while providing severance and transition support to impacted staff.
