A motorcyclist, Jeremy Claudio, was killed in a collision on Staten Island over the Fourth of July weekend. At 3:12 p.m. on July 5, Claudio, while riding his 2025 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle, collided with a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 40-year-old woman making a K-turn. Claudio suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was uninjured. Investigations by the NYPD's Highway District Collision Investigation Squad are ongoing. A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated for Claudio's funeral and his children.

The 40-year-old woman was operating the Toyota, making a K-turn when the collision occurred, police said.
Law enforcement sources said the Toyota driver stayed at the scene and was not injured during the collision.
