Diana Sofia Aleman Roman, a 2-month-old baby, was found unresponsive in a hot car in Santee. She was left inside the car by her family for approximately 9 hours.
Paramedics took the baby to the hospital after she was found, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her condition. The cause of her death is to be determined by the Medical Examiner.
No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing. The sheriff's office has requested anyone with information to come forward for assistance in the case.
