At just 18, David Izekor experienced a life-changing event when he suffered a haemorrhagic stroke leading to a glioblastoma multiforme diagnosis. Despite the grim prognosis, he utilized filmmaking to express his experience, creating a documentary to inspire others facing similar challenges. He highlights the importance of communication about cancer diagnoses and aims to encourage conversations that convey hope, demonstrating that such a diagnosis does not signify the end of life. Izekor's unique approach and candid sharing of his journey seek to support cancer awareness among younger audiences and peers.
He hopes it "springboards conversations in schools or to other cancer groups to share that a diagnosis doesn't mean the end".
