"A woman has died after a multi-car crash in The Township of King over the weekend, York Regional Police say. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Davis Drive W. and Jane Street, police said in a news release issued Tuesday. Officers received "numerous reports" of a crash, and when first responders arrived they found five vehicles were involved."
"A passenger from one of the cars was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. That passenger a 27-year-old woman from Mississauga died on Tuesday due to injuries she sustained in the crash, police say. A driver sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries in the collision, investigators say, while two other drivers sustained minor injuries, according to the news release."
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at Davis Drive W. and Jane Street in King Township. First responders found five vehicles involved after officers received numerous reports of the collision. A passenger from one vehicle was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. That passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Mississauga, died on Tuesday due to those injuries. One driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and two other drivers sustained minor injuries. Witnesses reported a green SUV driving in an aggressive manner shortly before the crash occurred. Police are seeking witnesses and any dashcam footage of the area or a green SUV from around the time of the crash.
