A 40-year-old woman from Quebec is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a marked security vehicle in Whitby and attempting to flee while impaired. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. when the police received reports of the theft. Officers quickly located the stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop; however, the woman refused to pull over. Ultimately, she was boxed in by police and taken into custody following impaired driving tests. She faces charges including theft of a motor vehicle and driving while impaired, and awaits a bail hearing.
Officers responded to a call about a security vehicle that had allegedly been stolen by an unidentified woman who then took off.
When the woman slowed for a red light, officers boxed in the car and arrested her. After she exited the vehicle, they found she had been drinking.
