Honda is recalling 61,000 vehicles in Canada due to concerns over a potentially defective high-pressure fuel pump that may pose a fire risk.
The company states that cracks could form inside the fuel pump, leading to leaks that, when combined with sparks, pose a serious fire hazard.
In the U.S., over 700,000 vehicles are included in the same recall, though no confirmed incidents of fires or injuries have been reported.
Affected vehicle owners will receive a notification by mail in December, guiding them to inspect their vehicles for potential defects at no charge.
