"With strong, gusty winds expected in Toronto Wednesday afternoon and evening, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the city. The statement, issued early Wednesday morning, forecasts winds to reach between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour, as southwesterly winds become northwesterly in the afternoon with the passage of a cold front. "Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break. Power outages are possible," the statement warns."
"Environment Canada expects winds to start coming down later Wednesday evening and diminish overnight. The weather agency forecasts a high of 13 C Wednesday, with a chance of showers."
