Could Have Been Much, Much Worse': CNN Safety Analyst Says Air Canada Flight Was 40 Feet Away From Being Mass Casualty Event

"David Soucie, a CNN safety analyst, stated that the damage to the front of the plane's nose was significant, with 25 to 30 feet of the front part of the aircraft missing. He emphasized that the aircraft's position changed due to the impact, which could have led to a much worse outcome had the fire truck been positioned differently."
