Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of gunshots at a residence on Finnerty Side Road at approximately 5:15 a.m. A shelter-in-place advisory was issued and roads in the surrounding area were temporarily closed. Several specialized units were deployed, including police dogs and crisis negotiators. Three people with gunshot wounds were found at the residence and taken to hospital; one sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and two sustained minor injuries. A news release indicated officers believe additional suspects are at large and that an investigation is ongoing. Residents along Highway 9 were asked to shelter in place and others to avoid the area.
