"All westbound lanes of Interstate 80, west of state Route 4 in Hercules, were shut down during busy commuter hours on Thursday morning after a crash and heavy police activity, officials said. The lanes were first closed just after 7 a.m. near Richmond Parkway and Pinole Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol incident log. Drivers are being rerouted at the Hercules exit, CHP said."
