"The underlying question should be why are our costs so high in California, as compared to the rest of the country?" Jennifer Barrera stated, critiquing the lack of address for inflation drivers in the proposal.
"Thousands and thousands of workers locally will benefit from Proposition 32 passing, but millions of Californians will also do so, whether they're in a union or not," remarked Dillon Savory on the broader impact.
Jennifer Barrera warned that the measure risks forcing businesses to either steeply raise consumer prices or lay off workers, highlighting the economic challenges of a one-size-fits-all solution.
