Two teens shot in armed robbery at Santa Rosa Transit Mall, police say
"Officers responded about 6:30 p.m. to multiple reports of a shooting on 500 Second Street and found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound, with an entry and exit point through his upper shoulder and mid-back, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Patricia Seffens said Monday. The teenager received medical aid and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. At about 6:45 p.m., three other teenagers who were friends with the 15-year-old arrived at the police department on Sonoma Avenue and reported the shooting."
"Based on a preliminary investigation, officers determined that the four teenagers were waiting for a bus at the transit mall when two men in dark clothing and ski masks approached and demanded they hand over their belongings. One of the men held up a gun during the robbery and struck the side of the 15-year-old's head with it before shooting him in the shoulder, police said."
