
"SAN MATEO - Authorities on Wednesday announced a pair of arrests in the theft of roughly $10,000 worth of high-end cigar lighters from a San Mateo business in October. The theft happened Oct. 20 in the 2400 block of South El Camino Real, according to the San Mateo Police Department. One suspect, a 33-year-old San Francisco woman, distracted a store employee while the second suspect, a 40-year-old El Grenada man, "concealed and stole" the lighters, police said."
"Following an unrelated traffic stop Tuesday in Half Moon Bay, officers arrested the duo on suspicion of second-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to police. Officers also found lock picking tools during a search of the man's property, police said. The suspects were booked into San Mateo County jail. They remained in custody Wednesday, according to jail records."
