Tornado touches down in Northern California to become first of 2025 in US. Here's where

The tornado, detected by an ALERT California camera, struck Tehama County briefly on Friday evening without causing any reported damage or injuries.
Meteorologist Courtney Carpenter noted that the tornado had a path length of approximately 0.8 miles and lasted around three minutes, but its strength remains classified as unknown.
Since no damage occurred, the tornado was given an EF-U rating which signifies that without damage there can be no assigned strength.
Following the tornado's occurrence, a warning was issued at 5:22 p.m., shortly after it was detected by weather radars.
