They Want to Rebuild After the Eaton Fire, but First Comes the Struggle to Survive | KQED

Chumi Paul, co-runner of Los Angeles Bat Rescue, reflected on her life in Altadena before losing her home to the Eaton fire. Her family's love for the local environment fostered a strong community with neighbors who supported each other, especially through the pandemic. After the loss, Paul and her daughter Maile were overwhelmed with grief but found solace in staying connected with their community as they began the long process of rebuilding and supporting one another in their shared loss.
